Operator Qualification 4-Hour Refresher Course
Time:7:00 am - 11:30 am

Description: The
MPC will be hosting an optional 4-hour, in person Operator Qualification Refresher Training at the Robert John Daly Memorial Training Center, adhering to all NYC COVID mandates. In order to take this training, you must be within 6
months of your expiration date.

BACKFLOW COURSES
(MEMBERS ONLY)
32-hour Backflow Certification Course: 32-hour New York City Certification (4 Sessions)
Time: 8:00 am-4:00 pm (for each of 4 sessions)
Location: Robert John Daly Memorial
Training Center
Cost: $900 per student
Description: This 32-hour course over 4 days is required by New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to register as a backflow prevention technician for the State of New
York, and all local jurisdictions within including New York City. If the course is completed, and our exam is passed, your name is automatically submitted to the online registration of backflow prevention testers until expiration. This
course also counts for 20 contact hours or 2.0 CEUs for NYS Water Operator renewal credits. These courses are regularly scheduled and available through the Five Boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. |
8-hour Backflow Re-Certification Course
Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Robert John Daly Memorial Training Center
Cost: $350 per person
Description: This 8-hour course over 1 day is to re-certify a license that is about to expire. For most of our service areas, the diplomas are valid for 3 calendar years from the date of the class, so if you are going to continue using the license
beyond its expiration date, you would need to renew. We cannot renew expired licenses, but in accordance with each jurisdiction there is often a 12-month grace period (MD, WSSC, NY). We hold the maximum allowable grace period for each
jurisdiction.
