Anti-discrimination Policy
The Master Plumbers Council of the City of New York, Inc. (MPC) promotes an inclusive workplace and learning environment that fosters dignity and respect. Any harassment or unlawful discrimination against learners, instructors, contractors, and/or staff based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition including medical characteristics, marital status or any other classification protected by local, state or federal laws is illegal and prohibited by MPC policy.

Consequences
Below are the consequences of breaching the Anti-discrimination Policy:
- For Instructors Who Violate the Policy:
- Disciplinary action: Ranging from verbal/written warnings to suspension.
- Termination of employment: The MPC has a zero-tolerance policy, and violations may result in being fired.
- Reputational harm: Damage to professional reputation and relationships with colleagues.
- Legal liability: In severe cases, individuals could be personally named in lawsuits, particularly if harassment or discrimination is extreme.
- For Students Who Violate the Policy:
- They will be banned from attending any MPC function.
- They will be removed from the class and will not receive credit for the course.
- The company they work for will be notified.
