Master Plumber’s Council of the City of New York

MISSION STATEMENT

The Master Plumber’s Council is a professional trade association which consists of New York City Licensed Master Plumbers and their affiliates in the City of New York.

The Council provides education, training, and support for our members regarding local codes, technical and business practices.

The Council strives to provide the highest level of information, interpretation, updates and changes of New York City agencies and utility codes.

The Council supports the education, promotion and training of the future generation of the plumbing trade.

The existence of the Council is to protect the health and safety of the public at large through the proposal of, the enactment of, and the compliance of the plumbing codes of the City of New York.

We Are Committed To:

• Training and Education – The Master Plumbers Council provides ongoing education and training in our State-of-The-Art Training Facility. Training is focused on critical topics that impact the plumbing industry.
  
  
• Member Services – The Master Plumbers Council is an information center that provides assistance in handling day to day problems with city agencies, utilities and codes. When necessary, we will act as a liaison with city agencies/utilities. We offer monthly membership meetings, which provide information and networking opportunities for members. Providing solidarity for industry and creating Unity
  
  
• Code Revision and Enactment – The Master Plumbers Council participates in the code revision committees with the NYC agencies and utilities and disseminates this information to its membership.
  
  
• Promotion of the Licensed Master Plumber
  • The Master Plumbers Council promotes the enforcement of codes by governmental agencies and utilities against illegal, unlicensed and/or unpermitted plumbing work.
    
  • The Master Plumbers Council strives to promote the licensed plumbing industry and the benefits of hiring a licensed and insured firm.
  • The Master Plumbers Council promotes the Plumbing Trade to future generations.
    
    
• Legislation – The Master Plumbers Council will introduce, lobby and support legislation that benefits the Licensed Master Plumber and the public at large. As necessary, we will collaborate with other associations to achieve industry objectives.
