Hurricane Ida Relief - A Call to Action

Last week the MPC sent an email to members asking if they would be interested in participating in a program that encourages LMPs to prioritize repairs for Hurricane Ida flood victims.
The DOB is now officially inviting licensees to participate. If you would like to participate in the program, please follow the instructions listed below. Those who sent us their information last week must submit their information to the DOB in order to be eligible. Dear Licensed Master Plumber, Hurricane Ida has resulted in significant property damage in neighborhoods across the City. In response, the City is committed to assisting 1-4 family dwellings in connection with plumbing and electrical damage resulting from the hurricane. As a Department-licensed plumber you are integral to this effort. The City is establishing a program to encourage you to prioritize repairs for such flood victims. A limited number of licensees will be able to participate in this program. If you are interested in participating in this program, please reply to this email (IdaRepairs@buildings.nyc.gov) by Monday, September 20th with your license number and the name and contact information of the person who can receive additional information.
