Building Owner Gas Safety Awareness Training - Wednesday, April 28, 2021
Monday, March 22, 2021
The Plumbing Foundation City of New York, Inc. and Master Plumbers Council of the City of New York in collaboration with Northeast Gas Association will be hosting a four hour virtual training program for NYC and Westchester Building Owners and Managers. Click here to register. The Building Owner Gas Safety Awareness Program provides building owners, managers and maintenance supervisors with fundamental education and situational awareness necessary to maximize day-to-day gas piping safety and compliance. The focus of the program includes basic gas safety principles, identification and corrective action associated with substandard conditions (a.k.a. Abnormal Operating Conditions [AOC’s]), and preventative maintenance measures to minimize gas piping safety risks within your building. In addition, the program reviews mandated interior gas piping safety inspections necessary to meet NYC DOB Rules associated with Local Law 152/2016 inspection requirements in addition to Federal/State requirements relating to Pipeline Safety Regulations. This course is not a substitute for otherwise complying with local licensing laws, i.e. a licensed master plumber is required to perform Local Law 152 gas piping system inspections and plumbing work as defined in the NYC Building Code. You will receive an electronic copy of the course material e-mailed to you as well as a certificate of attendance. If you have any questions please email info@plumbingfoundation.nyc.
