A master plumber indicted in connection to a fatal explosion in an East Village building was sentenced to probation and community service Wednesday. Andrew Trombettas, 60, previously pleaded guilty to offering a false instrument for filing for his role in rubber-stamping a modification to the Second Ave. building prior to a March 2015 explosion that leveled the property, killing two people and injuring 25. Click here to continue reading the article.
