Today is the deadline for Buildings in Community Boards 1, 3 and 10, in all boroughs, to submit their GPS-2 certifications. To date, the DOB has received about 43,000 certifications.

The owner will have up to 180 days from the date of the original inspection to make all required repairs. The owner must also make any additional submissions required under 1 RCNY §103.

At this time, there are no bills proposed to be introduced to allow for any further extensions. The DOB is encouraging owners to file their certifications. They will not state if there will be any violations issued for late submissions.
