2020 Scholarship Program Update (4.28.20)

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Master Plumbers Council has decided to modify and change the requirements for the 2020 Scholarship Program. All candidates must complete an application and write a brief letter to the Scholarship Committee Chairman, Mr. Robert McManus, introducing themselves and explaining why this scholarship is important to them. Click here for the new scholarship application.

All applications are to be sent in by Friday, June 12, 2020. Each of the candidates will be placed in a lottery and chosen at random to win an award of $750.
 
Anyone who sent in their complete application before the original April 17th deadline will be considered for the full award based on their respective level (HS or College/Post HS) and does not need to submit anything else.

NEW Application Deadline is Friday, June 12, 2020!

Each year, the Master Plumbers Council offers scholarships to honor and further the education of worthy students. The program is divided into two levels, High School (Entering Grades 9-12) and College/Post High School. 

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be either:

  • The child or grandchild of a NYC Licensed Master Plumber who has been a member in good standing of the MPC for a minimum of one year preceding the application date or a child or grandchild of a deceased member who met such membership requirement.
  • The child or grandchild of an employee who has been employed for a minimum of one year by a Licensed Master Plumber who is a member of the MPC. These applicants must be sponsored by a Master Plumber Member of the MPC.
